Reflexology Hand Massage

Reflexology Hand Massage

This is the palm of the left hand.- Green -- brain, head, sinus, pituitary gland
- Blue -- neck, thyroid, parathyroid, shoulder muscles, eyes, ears
- Check for contraindications.
- Warm up the hand and wrist with basic Swedish stokes: gliding, kneading, and squeezing.
- Gently squeeze, twist, and pull each finger and thumb
- perform "inch-worm" thumb walking technique down each finger, on all sides. include the thumb.
- Brain Roll: take your finger that thumb tips put them together and place them the tip of each of the clients fingers. Rock back and forth a few times.
- Stretch the fingers and thumb
- perform finger brushing: taking your palms and softly brushing the tops of the fingers, back and forth.
- Repeat on the other hand.

Complete Reflexology Hand Massage RoutineHere's an introductory, step-by-step routine for reflexology hand massage on the palm of the hands. - Fingers and Thumb -- head, neck, brain, sinus, pituitary, thyroid, eyes, ears, and shoulder muscles. Beginning and ending points of six meridians
- Palm -- bronchioles, lungs, spleen, liver, gall bladder, kidney, pancreas, shoulder and arm joints, muscles, and ligaments
- Thenar Eminence -- heart, adrenal glands. Along with the outside of the thumb, represents the spinal column
- Wrist -- pelvic bones, joints, and muscles, including the sciatic nerves
Check for contraindications before starting your reflexology hand massage: fungus, cuts, bruises, recent surgery, pain, swelling, redness, etc.
- Using your oil of choice, warm up the hand and wrist with basic Swedish stokes: gliding, kneading, and squeezing.
- Gently squeeze, twist, and pull the thumb and each finger.
- Perform "inch-worm" Thumb-walking technique down each finger and the thumb, on all sides. Energizes the meridians.
- Brain Roll: taking the pads of your fingers and thumb, rock gently back and forth on the tips of their fingers and thumb.
- Stretch the fingers and thumb, opening up the palm by gliding from the center outward.
- Finger brushing: taking your palms and softly brushing the tops of their fingers, back and forth.
- Pinpoint-and-flex: place your thumb onto the area where their palm easily bends. This is the diaphragm map line. With your other hand bend their palm over your thumb. Do this all along the map line.
- Thumb glides, rotations, and gentle compressions all over the palm down to the wrist.
- Trough between the metacarpals using your thumbs. Start at the wrist and glide up to the base of the fingers.
- Perform Thumb-walking technique all over the palm and thenar eminence. Spend some time and repeat in many directions.
- The reflex zone for the heart: compress, hold, and perform gentle circular motions into the fleshy area of the palm, under the thumb - thenar eminence.
- Adrenals: also found on the thenar eminence, specifically, halfway from base of thumb and wrist. Compress, glide, and utilize Hook-in-back-up technique.
- Rub, knead, and squeeze the thumb side of the hand, stimulating spinal nerve and cerebral spinal fluid function.
- Knead the outside edge of the hand, the little finger side, to give relief to the shoulders, neck, and stimulate the spleen.
- Focus on the base of the palm and wrist - intestines, pelvic organs and muscles. Perform thumb glides in all directions.
- Wrist Boogie: jostle the wrist, moving it in a cycle of abduction and adduction.
- Repeat the reflexology hand massage routine on the other hand.
